Kim Myung-Ku
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to compare the mid and long term results of arthroscopic ACL reconstruction between using the allogenic or autologous patellar tendon. The final results of Lachman test were below 1+ in 84% of the allogenic graft group and 90% of the autologous graft group. The pivot shift test was positive(above grade 3) in 10% and 5%, respectively. 55% of patients receiving the allogenic tendon graft and 65% of patients receiving the autologous tendon graft showed less than 3mm manual maximun difference on KT-2000 arthrometer. Final evaluation revealed that an IKDC score above B was observed in 82% receiving the allogenic tendon and in 83% receiving the autologous tendon. There was no statistical difference of final results between allogenic and autologous groups.
